BEFORE:
- BRUSH up on my knowledge of your organization
(needs, values, mission, objectives)
- BE available and work with you to customize
a presentation that meets your organization’s needs
- BLEND in so that my presentation meshes seamlessly
with the rest of your meeting or event
- BOOK my travel plans, and communicate them
to you, well in advance of your event
- BRING together, and send you, all of the
supporting materials that will help maximize my impact
• Introduction, pictures, articles, handouts, and any
promotional items that you need
- BACKUP our plans by having another speaker
in mind just in case a substitute is needed
- BEHAVE by resting, writing, rehearsing and
readying myself for action
CHECK-IN:
- CONTACT you upon my arrival
- CONDUCT a walkthrough and set up my materials at least 30 minutes before presenting
- COORDINATE with your A/V staff members so the
presentation goes off without a hitch
- CONFIRM that the emcee is comfortable with
my introduction and review if necessary
- CONVERSE with each participant individually
as they enter the meeting room
- CLOTHE myself in a manner that is consistent
with your specifications
- CHANGE my plans if it becomes necessary for
me to start late, end early, or anything in between
DURING:
- DELIGHT your organization’s members so
they remain engaged throughout my presentation
- DEMONSTRATE ideas that your
organization can apply both personally and professionally
- DELIVER those ideas multiple times, in multiple
ways, so they stick
- DIALOGUE with your organization’s members
and encourage them to participate and get involved
- DISPLAY professionalism regardless of the challenges
(A/V, noise, etc.) that may arise
- DEFEND your schedule by ending on time
ENDING:
- ENTERTAIN questions, requests for additional
information and/or products (with your approval)
- ENLIST your input on my presentation
so that I can make it even more effective in the future
- ENDEAVOR to also obtain feedback from members
of your organization (with your approval)
- ENTRUST no outside party with your organization’s
proprietary information
- EXIT the meeting venue without requiring your
assistance
